Senior Accountant

Job Description

Our client, a growing international company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Zurich. This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of Swiss GAAP and payroll, and experience across Swiss and/or German accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Manage financial accounts for Swiss and German entities
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP, tax, and payroll regulations
• Prepare monthly accounts for sign off by the Senior Manager
• Prepare financial statements, tax filings, and support audits
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Improve financial processes and ensure cash flow oversight

Candidate Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience in financial accounting (Swiss/German markets)
• Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP (OR); HGB a plus
• Fluent in English and German (Russian beneficial)
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive
