We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Procurement Director to join a leading CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) business at their offices based near Dublin.

This is a key leadership role responsible for defining and executing global category strategies for the high-impact portfolio of Packaging.

As Global Procurement Director, you will drive value creation through innovation, risk mitigation, supplier collaboration, sustainability, and commercial excellence.

Key responsibilities as Global Procurement Director include:

• Manage and mentor a high-performing team, promoting a culture of collaboration, learning, and career development
• Serve as a senior Procurement leader, managing strategic sourcing and category management activities across a critical portfolio
• Develop and implement multi-year global category strategies aligned with corporate objectives
• Influence stakeholders across R&D, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and BU Procurement to gain alignment on key sourcing strategies
• Build long-term supplier partnerships focused on innovation, performance, and environmental/social responsibility goals
• Lead market intelligence efforts, identifying trends and risks to inform sourcing strategies and business continuity

The ideal candidate profile:

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (professional qualifications preferred)
• 10+ years of senior Procurement and Category Management experience in global, complex environments
• Strong background in CPG, manufacturing, or food & beverage industries is highly desirable
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, particularly in matrixed organisations
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and talent development
• Strategic thinker with outstanding project management and communication skills
