As Director of our Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations recruitment divisions in Switzerland, Neil leads our dedicated team in placing top talent in key supply chain and procurement jobs in Switzerland

He joined EMEA Recruitment at the start of 2019, now amassing close to 15 years of recruitment experience. His previous experience includes recruiting in the Supply Chain and Logistics sectors.

Neil also heads our partnerships and collaborations with Procurement & Supply Chain networking organisations, such as CSCMP and CIPS, committed to supporting the development of professionals in these areas.

Taking a business partnering approach to recruitment and working with candidates and clients in a consultative capacity, he is skilled in building long-term relationships and partnerships.

Neil’s Interests

Neil is fond of running and staying active. He has run a number of half marathons and pushed himself to complete the London Marathon on behalf of Operation Smile in April 2023, raising over £2,500 for the charity.

His other interests include cartography, eating out, supporting Derby County FC, and travelling.

Reporting to the Global Head of Category & Supplier Development, you will be instrumental in driving supplier performance improvements within the casting/foundry category.

Along with hybrid working, this role incorporates 25% travel to global suppliers. 

Key responsibilities of the Supplier Development Manager include:

  • Lead and manage supplier development projects, including technical and quality audits
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on development and improvement initiatives
  • Oversee trial orders from new suppliers, ensuring a smooth transition to operational procurement
  • Identify and implement performance improvement measures with both new and existing suppliers

In collaboration with our client, a significant player in the life sciences industry, we are seeking a German-speaking Strategic Buyer Electronics to join their team based in Zurich.

The successful applicant will be tasked with key accountabilities which will include supplier selection, market analysis and the initiation and conclusion of supplier agreements with the overall objective of enhancing their procurement team.

Key responsibilities of Strategic Buyer Electronics include:
  • Showcase a strong technical understanding of raw material and commodity purchasing with the assigned category
  • Collaborate with R&D and product teams on new product introduction projects and strategize relevant purchasing approach
  • Bring technical understanding, ideally from a Med Tech or Mechanical Manufacturing background, in order to manage spend portfolio in the direct materials area
  • Conduct and develop industry analysis and supplier analysis and generate in-depth knowledge regarding the supply base with the Electronics and Direct Materials category
  • Grow strong relationships with various business units, Supply Chain leaders and R&D Directors amongst others to ensure their expectations are met
  • Work with Commodity Managers on Procurement topics and provide annual savings through cost reduction and operational improvement techniques
We are looking for a high-calibre Strategic Buyer Electronics with the following skill sets:
  • Educated to a Degree or equivalent level ideally in an Economic or Engineering discipline
  • 3+ years experience in Purchasing ideally on an international scale
  • Strong technological mindset, holding a genuine interest in electronics and technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), plus a strong knowledge of SAP would be beneficial

We are currently looking to speak with an experienced German-speaking Production Manager for an exclusive role based close to Zurich.
 
This role will be managing the Production operations to meet customers’ requirements while hitting company targets in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
 
Your key responsibilities as Production Manager will include:
  • To plan, monitor and improve manufacturing and production performance
  • To ensure effective coaching, directing and development of the team of first-line reports (managing a wider Production team of 50-80 with 3-6 direct reports)
  • Ensure that the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction are achieved by way of product quality/safety, timely delivery and response
  • Ensure GMP and hygiene requirements are adhered to in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing environment
  • Work closely with Supply Chain teams and stakeholders to deliver upon agreed Production objectives whilst managing workload changes impacted by seasonality
Ideally, you will have experience in a Manufacturing environment, with a background in Production or Operations Management. You should also be accustomed to leading teams in a high-volume production setting.

Additional requirements for this Production Manager role include:
  • Educated to degree or equivalent level, ideally in an Engineering related discipline
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Previous Manufacturing Management experience (preferred in Food & Beverages, Cosmetics or FMCG, 5+ years’ overall experience)
  • Strong user knowledge of policies and a proven track record of reaching objectives
  • Strong communication skills when dealing with diverse, international stakeholders
