EMEA Recruitment is proud to partner with an international business to hire an International Payroll Specialist (German-speaking) to join its dedicated international team.
You will be responsible for payroll in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and keen to advance your skills in other countries as the organisation continues to grow.
You will prepare monthly payroll reports and coordinate the audit of payroll outputs with the support of our external payroll providers. You'll also prepare journals and ad-hoc reports whilst ensuring the process of payments in a timely and accurate manner.
Attention to detail, prioritisation skills in a dynamic environment, and a drive for enhancing processes are keys to success in this role.
Responsibilities of International Payroll Specialist:
Processing, auditing, and reconciliation of payrolls, assuring their accuracy, compliance, and timelines
Managing relationships with various stakeholders and payroll providers with a focus on the accuracy and timely receipt of payroll reports
You coordinate payroll approvals & payment instructions
You prepare monthly payroll GL journal, accrual reports, and month-end closing reporting activities
You ensure compliance with statutory regulations, collective labor agreements, and company policies
You attend to payroll-specific queries from employees, support various internal and external audits and provide payroll feedback and data when required to support ongoing HR projects
Experience Required:
A minimum of 3+ years of experience working in an international payroll environment
Excellent knowledge and experience processing payroll for Germany, Switzerland, and/or Austria, including an understanding of payroll regulations, compliance, and tax laws
Worked with an outsourced payroll provider (ADP SPM knowledge is a plus)
Experience managing internal and external stakeholders including local payroll providers
Fluent in German and English
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and MS Teams
