EMEA Recruitment is working with an international organisation seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its HR team in Amsterdam.

As part of the HR team within the Payroll unit, you\'ll independently perform the processing of payroll, taxes, time and attendance, reporting and record-keeping for the Netherlands.

You\'ll also coordinate payroll vendors and authorities in France and Germany, with possible expansion to other countries.

Fluency in Dutch is essential for this position.


Responsibilities of Payroll Specialist:
  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile multi-state payroll before transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer-paid benefits
  • Time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
  • Prepare and process all necessary documentation and reporting for yearly 401K, payroll and audits
  • Process workflow items through the HRIS system
 
Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist
  • Great organisational skills and detail-oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with all stakeholders
  • Demonstrated accountability and urgency, facing issues positively and flexibly to deliver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with Payroll and HRIS systems (Exact HR Salarisgemak & SuccessFactors is preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft skills
  • Fluent Dutch and English is essential

You will be responsible for payroll in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and keen to advance your skills in other countries as the organisation continues to grow.

  • Worked with an outsourced payroll provider (ADP SPM knowledge is a plus)
