The main duties of the Accounting Assistant are:

The skills required for the Accounting Assistant are:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration

EMEA Recruitment is working with an international client in its search for an Interim Senior Accounting Specialist to join their team in Amsterdam for c. 9 months.
In this role, you report to the Finance Director and are responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable function, analysing financial information, and booking journal entries in the NetSuite ERP system.
The Interim Senior Accounting Specialist will work cross-functionally with the Supply Chain/Procurement department, ensuring suppliers are paid in line with payment terms, and queries are managed effectively.

Responsibilities as the Senior Accounting Specialist:
Ensure timely processing of accounts payable invoices including the processing of expense and credit card claims
Perform data analytics to identify undue trends in AP, such as ageing balances, debit balances, duplicate invoices, overpayment of bills
Support with the continuous enhancement of NetSuite with regards to AP
Ensure best practice for documentation of AP processes and controls
Support the month end close process for AP-related inputs
Work with Supply Chain and Procurement to develop reports as needed
Experience required:
Bachelor of Science in Business or related field
Minimum 7+ years of experience in financial accounting and accounts payable processing
Experience in internal control activities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

In this role, you will have primary responsibility and accountability for accounting aspects and assist the head office with regional issues in the periodical closing and reporting process.
The Global Accounting Manager will support the preparation of accurate and timely periodical financial reporting and drive the statutory compliance of European entities.

Responsibilities:
Build extensive accounting and consolidation reporting knowledge of the entities in the European region
Assist the internal tax team with regard to VAT, CIT and Transfer Pricing matters

Coordinate with auditors on their audit approach and requested documentation

Experience required:
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in an international audit role

Higher education - preferably Economics, Finance or related
Strong understanding of Accounting and IFRS
Strong project management and presentation skills

Willing to travel (mainly in Europe)
