Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Category Manager Logistics to join our Zug-based manufacturing client and manage part of their global spend in this critical spend area.

Key responsibilities as Global Category Manager Logistics include:
  • Drive Procurement activities and strategies to deliver upon wider business objectives
  • Showcase Category strategy and development specifically in the Logistics area
  • Work with Logistics providers and manage supplier selection of Warehousing, Ocean, and Road Freight
  • Contribute to Procurement optimization projects and take Procurement within the business to 'the next level'
  • Operate within the organization in a truly business-partnering approach
The ideal candidate profile:
  • Educated to degree or equivalent level, ideally in a Supply Chain or Economic related discipline
  • Have 5+ years experience in Procurement, with a focus on category management in Indirects - specifically Logistics spend area
  • Ability to monitor results against established KPIs, and continually assess and review the existing supplier base
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and interact with the broader Supply Chain business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), plus a strong knowledge of SAP would be beneficial
  • Fluent in English, any additonal language would be an advantage
