EMEA Recruitment is working with a well-established defence company. We are searching for a Senior Internal Auditor to join the Stockholm office.

The successful candidate will lead internal audits, contribute to risk assessments, and enhance audit processes, working with teams locally and internationally.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a small and dynamic audit team, reporting to senior leadership, while supporting governance improvements across global operations.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Internal Auditor:

• Lead and execute internal audit assignments across multiple areas and regions
• Contribute to the risk assessment processes for audit planning
• Continuously improve audit methodologies and processes within the team
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance governance and control systems

Candidate profile:

• Relevant academic qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in internal audit, preferably within large and international organizations
• Internal Audit certifications (desirable) and familiarity with IPPF standards
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, and experience with project auditing

EMEA Recruitment is working with Scania, seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join the Stockholm office. This role works on a hybrid basis, with international travel being required from time to time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for offering consulting activities aimed at improving the business operations and supporting management to improve the governance, internal control and risk management framework.

Responsibilities of the Senior Internal Auditor:

• Lead thorough assurance audits to evaluate the efficiency of current controls and processes
• Foster and maintain strong working associations with stakeholders, such as local entities, management, as well as external auditors
• Propose actions for risk remediation
• Oversee internal audit projects independently, consolidating findings, risks, and proposed actions
• Detect control deficiencies and offer recommendations for improvements

Your profile:

• University degree in Finance or Accounting or similar
• Experience within Internal/External Audit with a focus on internal control
• Understanding of financial reporting principles (IFRS) and HFM reporting system
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and data analytics tools (Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau)
