Job Description

Our client, a pan-European company, with an innovative growth strategy seeks a Country General Manager to lead their technical services business to continued expansion across Belgium.

They seek a commercially astute Country General Manager with industry experience in technical services, electrical, or mechanical services to join their expanded team.

Focusing largely on public sector tendering proposals, the successful candidate will bring a proven background in leading public sector tendering exercises.


Key objectives for the Country General Manager:
  • Sales: You will lead public tendering processes from strategy to submission
  • Identify and secure new commercial opportunities across Belgium
  • Lead a small team, with the aim to grow the function as the business increases its already impressive growth strategy
  • Monitor market trends and policy developments in public procurement to stay ahead of the competition

Candidate profile:
  • 10+ years of experience in technical or mechanical services, with a good understanding of operational challenges and solutions where you have progressed to gain commercial responsibilities
  • Strong experience in public tendering, including preparing winning bids and managing complex contracts
  • Business development mindset with a strategic and analytical approach
  • Fluency in Dutch and/or French (bilingual is highly desirable); English is mandatory
  • Willingness to travel across Belgium as needed
