Job Description

EMEA Recruitment is working with a dynamic, international logistics company to recruit an experienced Record to Report (R2R) Specialist to support its growing Finance team.

Our client is a fast-expanding organization operating within a broader European group, providing critical customs and logistics services.

This role offers hands-on responsibility across the Record to Report (R2R) process in a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Responsibilities of the R2R Specialist:

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and prepayments

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with group reporting requirements

  • Coordinate intercompany reconciliations and postings

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (local GAAP and IFRS where applicable)

  • Assist with statutory audits and internal audits, providing required documentation and explanations

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and enhance R2R processes

  • Contribute to various ad-hoc Finance projects and reporting requirements

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in R2R/general ledger/financial accounting roles

  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Visma, or similar)

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, period-end closing processes, and reconciliation procedures

  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent preferred

  • Experience working with Nordic markets (Sweden, Norway, Finland) and/or fluency in a Nordic language is a strong plus
