Regional Tax Compliance Controller - Exclusive

Job Description

An established and growing group in the international luxury hospitality and real estate sector is looking for a Regional Tax Compliance Controller to join its small European office in central Amsterdam.

This newly created role will be key to ensuring tax compliance and smooth financial operations across several European jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities of the Regional Tax Compliance Controller:
  • Oversee EU tax administration (VAT, WHT, CIT) and support group tax matters
  • Manage accounting and tax service providers across multiple European countries
  • Coordinate the tax and accounting compliance calendar to meet filing deadlines
  • Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning.
  • Support the preparation of local financial statements for holding and financing entities
  • Liaise with external advisors for tax filings and audits
  • Provide treasury support, including cash pooling
  • Support period-end closing and ad-hoc operational needs
  • Act as a key contact for compliance queries and external stakeholders

Requirements & Skills:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, or Business Administration
  • 4–5 years’ relevant experience in a similar group, holding/trust, financing entity, or audit firm
  • Good understanding of EU tax compliance
  • Strong organizational skills; works independently and meets deadlines
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to multitask
  • Fluent in English
  • Comfortable in a small hybrid office; occasional travel if needed
