Job Description

We’re currently recruiting a Financial Controller on behalf of our client, a dynamic, international organisation operating in the technology, media & telecom (TMT) sector.

As a key member of the Finance team, this is a unique opportunity for someone to leverage their hands-on accounting experience and strong communication skills, in a standalone role reporting directly to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
  • Preparing statutory accounts and reports
  • Month-end P&L and balance sheet reporting under Dutch GAAP 
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and managing intercompany elements
  • Payroll checks, tax submission and GL journal entries
  • VAT and CIT
  • Driving process improvement/automation initiatives to help ensure best practice
  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • Assisting with ad-hoc activities and projects within the Finance function
Ideal profile:
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • 3+ years’ relevant experience
  • Dutch GAAP knowledge 
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing
  • A person who takes ownership and strives for continuous improvement
  • Hands-on approach to your work and leads by example
  • High level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility
