They seek a General Accountant to join their team in Breda and report into the Finance Director.
This role will suit a hands-on General Accountant who enjoys a dynamic environment and has had full responsibility of A-Z accounting in an international setting.
Responsibilities of the General Accountant include:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP
- Maintain thorough supporting documentation for all financial transactions
- Assist with statutory compliance, VAT returns, and external audits
- Support internal control processes and financial reporting accuracy
- Manage invoice booking, accruals, and cash/treasury activities
- Provide general financial and business support across the organization
Experienced required:
- Degree in Finance or equivalent
- 2 years experience in an international environment, with knowledge of international group reporting
- Good IT skills including Excel; Dynamics 365 Business Central exposure is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch and English (both are an essential requirement)

- Fluent English and B2 level Dutch minimum is ideal

- Lead internal, mid-term and annual audits
- Serve as a confident and trusted partner to the Finance Director

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize Finance processes
- Act as the primary point of contact for site-level Finance operations
Experienced required:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Finance or Economics
- Demonstrated a minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role
- Logistics industry experience preferred - must have experience with producing annual reports of similar sized business
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of IFRS and a Big 4 background is beneficial

As the Tax Compliance Specialist, you\'ll be responsible for several legal entities within the region, with a primary focus on activities such as month-end closings, statutory audits, and various tax-related tasks. Commonly used systems include Hubble, JD Edwards, Tungsten, Blackline, Vena, and Longview.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage VAT: Prepare, submit, and monitor VAT filings for small entities or localized registrations of larger entities.

Manage Corporate Income Tax: Submit tax filings and update tax position entries accordingly.

Compile and finalize statutory financial statements.

Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits.

Month-End Close: Review financial results for assigned entities, identify discrepancies, and ensure any material misstatements are resolved or reported.
Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a multinational environment or public accounting firm

Solid understanding of tax compliance and regulatory frameworks

Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage
