Our client, a rapidly expanding business in the FMCG sector, is seeking a Director of Procurement Excellence for its European hub in Lucerne. This role is crucial for advancing the company\'s strategic growth plans across EMEA and other regions.

The Director of Procurement Excellence will be tasked with developing and implementing innovative procurement strategies, best practices and process improvements to optimize procurement activities, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier relationships.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will streamline procurement processes, ensuring they adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Selecting, implementing, and managing procurement technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Leading category management initiatives and optimization strategies, including market analysis and supplier negotiations within specific procurement categories

We seek high-calibre candidates for the Director of Procurement Excellence role with the following qualifications/experience:
  • Ideally, 10+ years of experience managing procurement processes and activities within the FMCG industry

My client, a large and global business in the manufacturing sector, seeks a Category Manager IT on an interim/fixed-term basis for the next six to nine months. You will assist in managing the strategic procurement of all IT hardware and software globally.

As Category Manager IT, you will support senior internal stakeholders at a country, regional and global level across the business to ensure all user needs are met and the business can benefit from efficient and advanced software and hardware solutions to give a competitive edge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced buyer or category manager to expand their horizons in a truly global role (with a significant operating presence across all continents), strategically managing a variety of key indirect service categories.

Therefore, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator able to positively engage multi-national teams, internal stakeholders and suppliers.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:
  • Educated to degree or equivalent level
  • Confident in dealing with large IT providers – especially software suppliers
  • Ideally, 4+ years of experience within Indirect Procurement at a strategic level
  • Experience in dealing directly with suppliers – confident in sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier delivery
  • High level of PC literacy and familiarity with digital Procurement tools
