In this GL Accountant role, you will be part of a high performing team working closely with multiple entities across EMEA.

For the successful GL accountant, there is a chance for progression due to the consistent growth in the business and you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day inter-company accounting activities for the business.

Responsibilities of the GL Accountant:
  • Balance sheet reconciliation of GL accounts monthly
  • Journal entry posting
  • Clearance of balance sheet accounts and Lead sheet reviews
  • Liaising with controller teams on balance position
  • Ownership of AR for inter-company entities (validation, booking AR & AP)
  • Maintaining and monitoring AR to ensure they properly accrued, booked, and sent
  • Inter-company monthly and weekly AR & AP accruals
  • Preparation of recharge invoices (cost centres)
  • HFM reporting
Candidate requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting
  • Audit or GL background
  • Good attention to detail

  • Fluent in English (French advantageous)

You will manage multiple purchasing categories: IT, Facilities, HR, Real Estate, Consultancy, Travel.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Officer:
  • Act as a business partner for internal clients to identify purchase needs
  • Advice internal clients on existing procedures, policies and processes related to Procurement
  • Create and prepare purchase specifications, RFI’s, RFP’s
  • Able to perform market research, sourcing projects and, if necessary, work with external partners to achieve optimized results
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers (price, quality, ESG etc.); liaise with external partners if required
  • Cooperate with the Legal department on contracting of suppliers and jointly negotiate agreements
  • Monitor “Procure to Pay” processes and liaise with the Accounts Payable department to ensure proper administration and supplier onboarding (including Vendor Due Diligence)
  • Monitor existing contracts and ensure timely extension/termination, manage and update contract data in the Contract Management System
  • Align with internal clients to ensure supplier quality/performance by the client (Supplier Management)

Your profile:
  • 5-10 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing a diverse portfolio of spend categories
  • Business acumen and seasoned buying skills
  • Proven negotiation skills and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong professional networks, including external markets and internal teams
  • Highly service-oriented team player with strong organizational skills, who supports demanding clients in a professional manner

The Interim Accountant will be home-based and visit the Amsterdam office occasionally. You will work 40 hours a week, and our client is offering an initial two-month contract with the potential to extend. 
 

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interim Accountant. The Interim Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records during a period of transition.

This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data
  • Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights
  • Audit Support: Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee and manage the processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance roles, preferably in a similar interim or contract position
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Independence: Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
