Keely is the Manager of our Human Resources recruitment team in Switzerland. She joined EMEA Recruitment in November 2021, following a career working directly with HR professionals from a technical systems aspect.

EMEA Recruitment is assisting our European client in recruiting a HR Generalist to start from 1st September (if not before) until May 2025.

Reporting directly to the Head of HR, the HR Generalist will handle HR-related projects and serve as the primary contact for employees and managers. You should have a comprehensive understanding of the entire employee lifecycle, including payroll.

In this role, you will proactively identify and initiate internal improvements and processes which may include duties beyond the standard job description. We are seeking a candidate who is eager to drive positive change and a true team player.

Key responsibilities of the HR Generalist:

  • You will manage the employee lifecycle from hire-to-retire, including aspects of payroll processing for employees    
  • Follow both internal and external processes to ensure employment legislation and compliance is adhered to in compliance with Swiss Labor Laws 
  • Provide support for employees and assist with the onboarding process preday one and post-day one
  • Initiate the onboarding process, ensuring all associated tasks are completed and employees are prepared and have everything they need 
  • Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organisational goals
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulations, and ensure that the company adheres to all relevant standards and practices, providing training to staff as needed

 

Ideal Candidate profile: 

  •  A qualification in HR or a bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field of study 
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in an operational HR & Payroll function 
  • Be able to communicate confidently in English and ideally German
  • Very good knowledge of Abacus and proficient in MS Office applications
  • You must have a valid work permit to work in Switzerland
